WESTCOUNTRY CYCLE TRAINING

We are a Cycling Instructors Co-operative serving Northern Devon and offer a full path of cycling education for both children and adults. We offer Bikeability training to the National Standard and can teach both children and adults how to ride!

Our own training scheme is registered with the Department for Transport (DfT) and our instructors are linked to various Instructor Training Organisations (ITOs). We work closely together with local schools, school sport partnerships and local and regional authorities.

We are a flexible cycle training organisation and it is our aim to tailor our courses to suit both individual's requirements and organisation's requirements as much as possible!

Cycle Training for Children

Bikeability, formerly known as "Cycling Proficiency", is the only Government approved award for cycle training today. This scheme has been rolled out nationwide and is designed to give children the skills and confidence to cycle on today's roads. Certificates and badges are available for all three levels of ability.

Bike Clubs and Leisure Rides

Many children who complete Bikeability Level 2 need more practice to build up full confidence in their road cycling. We encourage and help schools to run after school bike clubs and leisure rides. We can also help to teach your child how to ride without stabilisers.

Cycle Training for Adults

We can run adult cycling courses for individuals, families, community groups and companies who'd like to raise their environmental profile. More Info
